Gears
Place spinning gears that keep time. Teeth meet. Loops lock. Rhythm becomes a machine you can see.
Sight · sound · one room
A creative engine for music and physics play. Spin gears into rhythm. Draw lines that sing. Step inside the arrangement — on a screen, or through a headset — and hear space become time.
Free for now — 12 months for the first 100 spots. Later (informational only, no checkout): $3.99/mo · $30/year · 200 VR minutes.
What you can do
eccoses is a spinning-gear sequencer and a walk-in sound scene. The same arrangement is an editor, a lesson, a challenge, and a place.
01
Place spinning gears that keep time. Teeth meet. Loops lock. Rhythm becomes a machine you can see.
02
Draw lines that sing. Height, length, and path become pitch and phrase — handwriting for music.
03
On a headset, enter the scene. Walk the floor. Fly the camera. Hear the room from inside the score.
04
Guided lessons and numerous challenge modes. Learn the engine step by step, then invent your own.
For parents & educators
eccoses is a studio for creative thinking. Children build machines, hear consequences, and work through numerous challenges — attention, variation, and the pleasure of a loop that finally locks.
Use it at home or in class for original creation and licensed or public-domain material only. A parent or teacher should supervise younger makers; see our Privacy Policy for COPPA-aware consent language.
About the project
Musicology · playful learning
Hearing a cycle, seeing it turn, changing one tooth and listening again — that is musicology as play. We talk about brain health only in this soft sense: short, joyful practice that invites attention and pattern recognition.
No medical claims. eccoses is not a treatment, diagnosis, or therapy. It is an instrument and a classroom companion.
Physics games
Short playful learning beats — “drops” — sit between building and listening. A bounce. A gravity tease. A tiny ask: what happens if this gear is heavier, this line longer, this room quieter?
Drop
Change one part. Play again. Notice what the ear caught that the eye missed.
Drop
Imagine mass and tempo as cousins. The upcoming physics engine will make that more than a metaphor.
Drop
A one-minute challenge to keep a loop alive — attention as a game, not a test.
Soon
Calculations in the engine: collisions, fall, resonance — still music, now with mass.
Today the machines are musical. Next, they also calculate: true-enough motion, impact, and decay, so a falling sphere and a ringing pipe share one world. The score becomes a little laboratory — still beautiful, newly obedient to mass and time.
Reality · perception
We live as if sight and sound were separate channels. In this app they converge: a gear you watch is a beat you inhabit. Perception is the medium. The scene is the argument — that one room can hold both.
Meta Quest · WebXR
Put on a headset and walk into the arrangement. The editor and the Quest share one machine — no second app to learn. Look at a gear. Step closer. Hear it from the inside.
Works as a PWA in the Quest browser today. Immersive walk-in is the pitch: you are not watching a sequencer. You are standing in it.

Sound of water
A single fall. The surface accepts it. Circles travel — not decoration, but the picture of a sound leaving its center. We are making that scene: water into water, ripples as waves you can hear.
Until it ships, the image stands in for the feeling. Stillness, then a strike, then the long courtesy of an echo.
Beta
Open the app and start a scene, or register for the free beta — twelve months, one hundred spots. Prices below are what we may charge later. We are not charging yet. There is no checkout here.
